The Challenge

This was a high-end residential development with full-height glazing overlooking Tower Bridge and the River Thames.

The shading solution needed to preserve uninterrupted views while complementing a premium interior specification. Systems had to remain hidden when not in use, with no visual impact on the architecture.

Blinds were required to integrate within tight façade and curtain wall conditions, with limited space for installation and operation.

Each apartment also required full integration with home automation systems, demanding reliable and consistent performance across hundreds of units.

Maintaining design consistency and installation quality across 355 apartments was critical.

System Design

A bespoke blind box system was developed to conceal blinds within the building structure.

Each unit was designed to integrate with the curtain wall façade, ensuring alignment with the architectural intent and maintaining a clean internal finish.

Integration

The system was designed to operate seamlessly within each apartment.

Bespoke Engineering

Installation space was limited due to façade and interior constraints.

Compact 240V motorised systems were specified, using discreet fixings to enable installation within confined ceiling zones.

Fabric & Performance

A consistent shading approach was applied across all apartments.
