Anti-Ligature Vertical Blinds for Higher-Risk Environments

Kestrel vertical blinds are designed to provide adjustable privacy and light control while reducing accessible ligature points.

This system uses magnetic wall or top-fix brackets to support the headrail during normal use. When excessive downward force is applied, the headrail separates from the brackets, removing the fixed load-bearing point.

Wand control removes the need for conventional operating cords and chains, while enclosed louvre weights reduce loose components within the blind. We can help you select the louvre width, fabric, fixing method and magnet configuration to suit the room and assessed risk requirements.

Premium Wand-Control Vertical Blind

This system combines a 40 × 25 mm aluminium headrail with cord and chain-free wand operation for opening, closing and tilting the louvres.

The control mechanism and built-in slip clutch are enclosed within the headrail, while 89 mm or 127 mm louvres use enclosed weights to reduce accessible loose components.

Magnetic wall-fix or top-fix brackets allow the complete headrail to release under excessive load, making the system suitable for higher-risk healthcare environments.

  • Flame-retardant performance
  • Colour and interior coordination

Fabric weight can affect maximum blind dimensions, so this should be confirmed during specification.
