Introduction
Berkhamsted Boys’ School, one of the oldest educational institutions in the world, has a rich history dating back to 1541.
A significant part of this history is the Dean’s Hall, a grand, panelled space with expansive windows.
This hall is not just a relic of the past; it serves as a multi-functional space for the school, hosting assemblies, exams, and other events.
The challenge was to preserve the hall’s historical essence while equipping it with modern amenities that suit its varied uses.
Solution
To meet this challenge, we focused on creating a solution that would blend seamlessly with the hall’s traditional architecture.
We installed custom-designed stage curtains that complement the hall’s grandeur while offering the flexibility needed for different events.
The curtains were made from high-quality, durable materials to withstand frequent use.
The end result is a space that honours its history while meeting the demands of a 21st-century educational institution.
The success of this project led to further collaborations with the school, resulting in the installation of various other solutions throughout the premises.
